New History Channel Miniseries ‘Texas Rising’ Chronicles Creation of Lone Star State

The eight-part miniseries chronicles the Texas Revolution against Mexico that began in 1835, as well as the rise of the Texas Rangers – with the dramatic license we’ve come to expect from the History Channel.

“Texas Rising” stars Bill Paxton as General Sam Houston, Olivier Martinez as General Santa Ana, and Brendan Fraser as a Texas Rangers member. See the full cast here.

“Texas Rising” is set to premiere on Memorial Day 2015 – watch the preview trailer above.
