Apple’s $1,000 Phone Unlocks With A Glance

The iPhone X replaces fingerprint recognition with Face ID, and adds an edge-to-edge OLED screen.

At its annual fall product announcement event this week, Apple unveiled the first $1,000 smartphone Digital savant Omar Gallaga of the Austin American-Statesman’s 512 Tech says some features of the iPhone X are already available in high-end Android phones. 

Many iPhone X features were widely rumored in recent weeks. Apple, which once shrouded important product announcements in a veil of mystery,  has been less able to do so in recent years.
