Emily Ramshaw, new editor-in-chief of the Texas Tribune and new mom, is having a lean-in week (congrats on the new gig!). Ted Cruz, on the other hand, probably has had better weeks.

Sen. Ted Cruz, coming off a win in the Wisconsin primary, has had a tough time stumping in New York.

“Cruz is not beloved, necessarily, in that part of the country,” Ramshaw says. “He has some limited campaign resources up there. He was heckled in the Bronx when he was making a trip through New York.”

Besides the Bronx cheer, Cruz has gotten some bad press for his Time magazine cover, predicted by satirical news site The Onion more than a year ago.

“The suggestion is, Can American learn to love Ted Cruz?” she says. “The reality is the GOP establishment, they have few options right now. Clearly they don’t want a Donald Trump but they haven’t exactly loved Ted Cruz, either.”

What else you’ll hear in this segment:

– The viral story of an Austin couple who claim the state’s abortion laws forced the wife to have a miscarriage, delivering a stillborn baby

– Given the GOP confusion and his new book, will Gov. Greg Abbott throw his name in the ring in a bid for President?
