With streaming apps like Twitch, gamers are setting up systems that follow their every move through a game. Gamers can interact with fans and comment on their game play. Fans get to watch the action.

Digital savant Omar Gallaga, of the Austin American-Statesman’s 512 Tech says the prospects for making some real cash depends on your gaming system.

“Start small,” Gallaga says. “Have a really simple setup. Don’t invest a lot of money into doing this. Once you start developing fans and developing viewership you can upgrade your system.”
