Kat Kronenberg is an award-winning picture book author. Her first book, “Dream Big,” came out in 2017 and her next book is coming out at the beginning of 2019.
Kronenberg has experienced tragedy in her life, which is what inspired her to write a book about the power of a smile. A smile is an important symbol to her, so she had custom boots made. The boots are black with a yellow smile. When Kronenberg visits schools she always wears her boots.
“The boots and books go together and are always an echo of Texas,” Kronenberg says.
