Friday means it’s time to look back at the week in Texas politics. Here to help is Ayan Mittra, managing editor of the Texas Tribune.

Mittra says they opened the Sun Bowl for gathering to watch the Pope’s visit, which hosted 30,000 to 40,000 people.

“He really focused on the issue of mercy,” he says, “and just trying to not be so harsh. He really talked about people crossing the border, welcoming people from both sides.”

What you’ll hear in this segment:

– What the Pope said about building a wall, and how Trump took his comments

– News from the Texas Racing Commission

– How the Texas Senate is dealing with the issue with “religious liberty”
