Earlier this month, after a Senate hearing on federal efforts against drug abuse and trafficking, Texas Sen. John Cornyn shared a series of tweets, regarding drug overdoses. Cornyn claimed Texas was one of the states most severely impacted by drug trafficking because of the state’s high number of drug overdoses.
