If you find yourself in north Texas, and you happen to love video games, the Let’s Play Gaming Expo shouldn’t be missed. Dawn Burkes, from the Dallas Morning News, says there will be plenty to do for everyone from avid to novice gamers. Competitions in Tetris World and Smash Bros., panel discussions, and retro arcade games are just a few of the activities in Plano this weekend.

Nick Esquer, from Houstonia Magazine, suggests the 21 and over crowd head to Wharehouse Live. This Friday marks Houston Whatever Fest’s Pancake and Booze Art Show. Live music, art displays, and all the flapjacks you can eat at this event.

Food and wine enthusiasts are encouraged to check out the Hill Country Food Truck Festival. Nicole Raney, of CultureMap Austin, says the event in Luckenbach is a great mix of food, wine, and music.
