Most Texans now live in urban areas but there’s still a big farming and ranching culture in the state.
That was Typewriter Rodeo’s David Fruchter’s inspiration this week.

In Texas, we’re known
For our wide open spaces
Though mostly they’re in private hands;
Ranchers run cattle
And still ride on horses
Herding them over these lands
Meat for our tables, and milk for our cups
And leather like their skin from the sun
Bobwire and four-bys
Shotguns and ranch hands
That world still exists there
