Come see David Brown and the Texas Standard team at this year’s Texas Tribune Festival.

The Texas Tribune Festival is back and bigger than ever in 2018, and Texas Standard will be there. The Standard will be making a special broadcast from the festival Friday, September 28. Then on Saturday, we’ll be involved in a host of activities, some of which do not require a festival badge. We hope you can join us, and interact with on social media using the hashtag #TribFest18.

Friday, September 28

– 10 a.m. A live Texas Standard broadcast from the Festival Hub (800 Congress Ave.)

Saturday, September 29

– 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. We’ll have a table in the partner tent at the Open Congress Street Festival. Stop by to say howdy and pick up some Texas Standard swag!

– 10:30 a.m. David Brown will moderate the panel “The Way Forward is Urban” in the Driskill Hotel, Citadel Room (604 Brazos St.) (TribFest badge required)

– 1-1:30 p.m. On stage at the Open Congress Street Festival, senior associate managing producer Laura Rice and social media editor Wells Dunbar will be joined by the LBJ School of Public Affairs’ Victoria De Francesco Soto for our chat “Politics, Social Media and the Lone Star State.” We’ll explore how changes in our modern media landscape influence civic discourse.
