Amazon may be set to re-enter the phone business after failing more than ten years ago. The giant retailer announced this week that it will expand its same-day delivery options in some areas.

Tech expert Omar Gallaga wrote about Amazon’s latest moves for CNET.

Highlights from this segment:

– Amazon’s Fire Phone failed to capture a market in 2014. The company hasn’t announced a new phone offering, but rumors indicate the device could focus on Amazon’s ecosystem of services and encourage users to buy more from the company.

– Residents of certain areas can now choose faster same-day shipping. Products are available with 1-hour delivery or 3-hour delivery. Prime subscribers pay $5-10, while non-Prime buyers pay $10-$20.
