As Screenings For Coronavirus Begin, Not Everyone At The VA Feels Prepared

VA Secretary Robert Wilkie says his agency is ready.  “We started marshaling our supplies at the beginning of February, when our people told us that there was a potential for this [virus] coming here.”

The Department of Veterans Affairs is now screening patients for coronavirus in an attempt to protect the already vulnerable veteran population. But some employees and members of Congress question whether the nation’s largest health care system will be able to come up with a unified response to the pandemic.
