Even if you’re not an Olympics nerd currently glued to coverage of snowboarding, figure-skating, or the giant slalom, it’s hard to avoid all the action taking place in South Korea. The Winter Olympics mean high speed sports, inspirational interludes, and of course some pretty clever commercials rivaling what’s on offer during the Super Bowl. It’s a lot to take in. Digital savant Omar Gallaga of the Austin American-Statesman’s 512 Tech says there’s an app for that, if you can get it to work.

“You’re not going to be able to see stuff live if you’re doing some of the VR stuff or if you’re hoping to see it in 4k,” Gallaga says.

What you’ll hear in this segment:

–Why companies are pushing bleeding-edge tech like VR and 4K

– What you will be able to see in 4k and when

– Why the promise of advanced tech isn’t reality

– Which Olympic tech experiences are best
