One thing spreading faster than the coronavirus itself? Rumors about the virus. There have been some wild claims about it and the related disease, COVID-19, online. But how many of those claims are true? Madlin Mekelburg with PolitiFact Texas based at the Austin American-Statesman weighs the truth of the following claims:

– That a contingent of Americans weren’t drinking Corona beer for fear of contracting COVID-19

– That the CDC was recommending that men shave their beards to protect against coronavirus
