Current U.S. Energy Secretary, and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry says the United States leads the world in oil and gas production, while it’s also reducing energy-related emissions.
Perry addressed countries that have requested the U.S. sign on to the Paris Climate Agreement, during a speech about the state of energy in the U.S. at the American Legislative Exchange Council’s annual meeting in Austin on Aug. 14.
“When you catch up with us about reducing emissions, then you come talk to me about joining,” Perry said at the speech.
