When he ran for president, Donal Trump pledged that he would build a border wall, and that Mexico would pay for it; Mexican officials said their country wouldn’t pay. But the president continues to stand by his campaign assertion, at least on Twitter, claiming that the trade deal his administration negotiated with Mexico and Canada, the USMCA, is how that will happen.
I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!
