Early Voting Begins Tuesday for Texas House District 100

The two leading candidates are Democrats who each say health care is among their top campaign issues.

Early voting begins on Tuesday in the runoff election for Texas House District 100. The seat was left vacant after Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson stepped down from the state legislature to fill his current position.

Democrats James Armstrong III and Lorraine Birabil are the two contenders who will face off in the special runoff election.

In the general election on Nov. 5, 2019, Birabil led the pack with 33% of the votes while Armstrong came in second with 21%.
