It’s been five months since San Antonio opened its Migrant Resource Center downtown, and in that time tens of thousands of asylum-seekers have spent time in San Antonio before going to their final destinations.
In June and July the city was processing several hundred people a day. Now it’s about 100.

A single migrant family gets into a city van headed to the next stop on their journey. In June and July, dozens of families gathered in this spot in front of the Migrant Resource Center following a surge in asylum-seekers from Africa and Haiti.
