Super Tuesday is underway in Texas and 14 other states and territories.

Ross Ramsey, co-founder and executive editor of The Texas Tribune, says there’s five things voters should pay attention to today as results come in:

– Some voters skipped early voting, and waited to learn the results of the Nevada and South Carolina primaries before casting their votes. Ramsey says he’s interested in how the early votes will tally compared to the votes cast on Tuesday.

– Though candidates including Julián Castro, Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg have dropped out of the race, they are still on the Texas ballot. Ramsey is curious how many people will still cast their votes for these candidates.

– The race for the Democratic nominee to challenge Republican Sen. John Cornyn is competitive. Ramsey says none of the 12 candidates has a decisive lead, so he’s watching to see if tonight’s results will lead to a runoff election.

– Ramsey says the Republican races for Senate and for president will likely have much more predictable outcomes. He expects Cornyn and President Donald Trump to easily win their races. But this also might affect Republican voter turnout. Ramsey says he’s curious to see how many votes are cast for Republican candidates other than Cornyn and Trump.

– He’s watching how well Mike Bloomberg does, since Bloomberg invested so much of his campaign resources in Texas. And Ramsey says the big prize Tuesday is how many delegates each of the five remaining presidential candidates gains, even if that conflicts with who wins the popular vote.
