Derrick Crowe, an Austinite seeking the 2018 Democratic nomination for the state’s 21st Congressional District, a seat currently held by U.S. Rep. Lamar Smith (R-San Antonio), said his three-year-old son has lived through the hottest consecutive years on record. Crowe said the warming climate “keeps [him] up at night,” according to a statement he made to his neighbors.
