Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, typically marks the start of the holiday shopping season. But like so much else in 2020, there’s a new normal for brick and mortar merchants, consumers and even online sellers.

Omar Gallaga has written about retailers’ plans, including the kinds of products Latino shoppers are likely to focus on this shopping season. He told Texas Standard that Amazon got things started by moving its annual Prime Day sale from July to October, kicking off the holiday shopping season early.

“If you were flooded with emails and offers from not only Amazon, but other retailers like Best Buy or Macy’s, that’s why,” Gallaga said.

To find the best deals and sales, Gallaga recommends visiting the websites blackfriday, slickdeals and retailmenot
