Hours After Julián Castro Escorted 12 Migrants To The US, CBP Sent Them Back To Mexico

The Democratic presidential candidate visited migrants who are awaiting U.S. asylum hearings in Mexico.

Julián Castro, a Democratic presidential candidate, visited asylum seekers in Matamoros, Mexico, on Monday.

The former secretary of Housing and Urban Development and San Antonio mayor toured the migrant community across the Rio Grande from Brownsville, Texas, to highlight the people affected by the Trump administration’s Remain in Mexico policy, formerly known as the Migrant Protection Protocols.
