How a Jewish Community in San Antonio is Reacting to Anti-Semitic Vandalism

The neighborhood around a vandalized Jewish Temple is pulling together to help clean up swastikas, ethnic slurs and other spray-painted profanity.

A San Antonio Jewish community was hit with anti-Semitic vandalism Wednesday morning. The neighbors woke up to houses and cars spray-painted with swastikas and other slurs against Jews. The community is near the orthodox Rodfei Sholom Synagoge. Rabbi Aryeh Scheinberg is the spiritual leader there. He speaks with the Standard about the prevalence of anti-semitism in San Antonio, the event itself and the community’s response.
