How Apple’s New iPhone Software Aims To Help You Disconnect

Earlier this week, Apple announced that the next version of the software that runs iPhones and iPads – iOS 12 – will include new features that could help keep users from staying glued to their mobile devices, and that will give parents greater control of how and when their kids use their gadgets. Some of Apple’s own shareholders had recently criticized the company for not doing enough to prevent what some have called smartphone addiction.

Digital savant Omar Gallaga of the Austin American-Statesman’s 512 Tech says the new software will include more opportunities to consolidate and personalize notifications.
