Houstonians and Austinites are the first to try out H-E-B’s partnership with the grocery delivery service, Instacart.
Claudia Grisales, retail reporter for the Austin American-Statesman notes that establishing partnerships with local retailers is a step forward for the delivery service since Instacart launched in the Austin market about 18 months ago.
“Whenever you see these formal partnerships, you’re going to prices closer to what you see in the store, so it’s more competitive that way” she says. “In H-E-B’s scenario, when that started out, the prices were marked up.”
