How to Choose A Gift That Won’t End Up in A Junk Drawer

Everyone knows what starts this week – some of you might be anxiously awaiting the beginning of hunting season, and many of you are making your shopping lists (and checking them twice, of course).

Well, to help steer shoppers in the right direction is Omar Gallaga of the Austin-American Statesman’s 512 Tech. He says the first thing you should do before you buy someone a gift? Consider usability.

“You’re trying to avoid the junk drawer, trying to avoid the stuff that’s going to end up in a closet somewhere or returned,” he says. “You want to think about, what’s something this person’s going to actually use and not be frustrated by because a lot of technology can be very frustrating or have a high learning curve.”
