When you think of gamers, you probably visualize people playing video games on a console or in front of a computer. But increasingly, the ranks of players also include fans of so-called tabletop gaming – everything from classic card games like Uno, to board games and complex strategy games with painted figurines and elaborate, custom-made dice.

Tech expert Omar Gallaga says table-top gaming is on its way to becoming a $12 billion business.

“People have really kind of gravitated toward these games as a response to technology,” Gallaga says. “I think people have really wanted this analog thing of, I just want to sit at a table and play dice and drink some beer and do a board game.”
