A former Fox News host and conservative blogger says the Austin Independent School District board voted to mandate “a pornographic sex education policy” that teaches kids how to have anal sex, among other things.
Is that a fact? Madlin Mekelburg from the PolitiFact Texas fact-checking team based at the Austin American-Statesman has the answer. She says Todd Starnes was critiquing a new sex ed curriculum AISD adopted in October.
“He was talking about some of the concerns that certain organizations have about the policy,” Mekelburg says.
She says the new curriculum is available online for anyone to review.
