Gov. Greg Abbott praised the North Texas city of Irving, and its master-planned community Las Colinas, for their economic strength. For the seventh consecutive year, Texas recently won Site Selection Magazine’s Governor’s Cup, an award for states with amenities that are desirable to companies looking for a place to expand. Abbott touted Texas’ attractiveness to businesses at the award press conference. The governor suggested that Irving is home to the headquarters of more Fortune 500 companies than any other city in the U.S.
