If you like the smell of springtime, then listen to this ode to the Texas mountain laurel.

8-year-old Scarlett Gronquist loves living in Texas because nature is all around. If she was the governor of Texas, what it be like?

“I’ve got an idea. If I was the governor of Texas, I would make everybody have a mountain laurel in their backyard,” she says. “And when people when they’re walking by people’s yards, they could smell the mountain laurels.”
