National Poetry Month: “Braiding”

Houston’s Poet Laureate reads a poem written for her daughter.

April is National Poetry Month. Throughout the month, we’ve been celebrating with poems read by their Texas-based authors, recorded in the Houston Public Media studios.

Today’s poem comes to us from Houston Poet Laureate Robin Davidson.  It was written for her daughter, inspired by her beautiful long hair and mornings getting ready for school when she was a child.
