Music promoters are starting to experiment with in-person concerts and makeshift venues. But with social distancing rules still in place and limited capacities, many find their return on investment not yet worth the time or money invested. With that said, live streams continue this week and here are some of our top picks:

Miss Lavelle White

Sam Cook, James Brown and Aretha Franklin are just a few of the artists with whom Texas blues and soul legend Miss Lavelle White has shared the stage. Born in Mississippi in 1929, White now lives, and performs with her band in Austin. You can watch this Texas Music Hall of famer live during Miss Lavelle White’s Labor Day Bash, this Sunday at 7 pm.

Band of Heathens

On Tuesday, Texas rockers, Band of Heathens will return with their weekly, Good Time Supper Club live stream. The band will surely play new songs from their forthcoming album “Stranger,” set for release on September 25. Band of Heathens invites you to join them for stories and songs, while also inviting you to ask questions and make requests. The Good Time Supper Club live stream starts Tuesday (and every Tuesday) at 7:30 pm.

Nite

The synth pop band Nite got started in Toronto but has called Dallas home for the past several years. The twin brother duo brings an 80s influence to their new album “Sleepless,” which is layered with drum machines, synthesizers, and electric guitars. Their live stream Thursday, September 10 will celebrate the release of their new album and you can view their performance at 7 pm.
