Researchers at a veterans’ hospital in Florida are training computers to diagnose cancer. It’s one example of how the Department of Veterans Affairs is expanding artificial intelligence development.
Doctors experimented with AI by feeding images of slides containing lung and colon tissues into machine-learning systems. Early tests showed a 95% success rate in identifying cancers.
