Presidential Election Results

Former Vice President Joe Biden is taking a lead in Georgia, a state that last leaned blue in 1992 when Bill Clinton won. Friday morning, mail-in ballots counted in Pennsylvania are pushing Joe Biden past President Donald Trump. ABC News’ chief political analyst Matthew Dowd talks to the Standard about the latest presidential election results.

COVID-19 in Texas

Coronavirus cases are rising to a level in Texas not seen since August. Dr. James McDeavitt, the senior vice president and dean of clinical affairs at Baylor College of Medicine, talks to the Standard about what the numbers mean.

El Paso Businesses Ignore Shutdown Order

Some El Paso business owners are defying a local shutdown order. Last week the county judge ordered all non-essential businesses to close for two weeks to slow the rampant spread of COVID-19. KTEP’s Angela Kocherga spoke to some business owners and has this report.
