Those endless
Flat
West Texas roads…
But just when you think
It’ll never end
Those mountains poke
Into view
And perhaps you’ll stop first
For a Star Party at McDonald
Or a tour of beautifully crumbling history
At Ft. Davis
But then you’ll keep going
Through those winding desert roads
Up to the Chisos
Down to the Rio Grande
Disappearing and merging with those mountains
Because oh, it’s a journey
And out here
Yours
Has just
Begun…
