The details of climate change can be overwhelming. For some, it’s so overwhelming that they begin to shut it all out. Others are just tired of hearing about it. Those where the dual inspirations of this Typewriter Rodeo poem.

Climate Change Fatigue

Elsewhere in the world
they’ve pivoted from change
to crisis
Putting a bit more pep
in the steps forward
You may be tired
a bit overwhelmed
I’m down right frustrated
coming a bit unglued
But instead of statistic
the doom & the gloom
Think instead of the youngest
person you know
Think of giving them a gift
the small kindness
of caring
what life might be like
for their future kids…
