As 2017 comes to a close, it’s time to look back at the most popular fact checks of the year. Texas politicians, including Sen. Ted Cruz, made the list. Is that a fact? Gardner Selby of the Politifact Texas fact-checking team has the answers.

Cruz made two of the claims in the Politifact Top Ten. Then there’s the fake Texas Congressman, whose Twitter account made statements about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
