Dallas on Saturday:

You don’t have to visit a galaxy far far away to experience the wonders of space — Moon day is this Saturday at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in downtown Dallas. Moon Day is an annual celebration of the first moon landing. Visitors will get to check out science exhibits, travel inside an inflatable planetarium, and even talk live to the crew about the international space station. You’ll also be able to meet the first female private space explorer, Anousheh Ansari.

West Texas on Friday, Saturday and Sunday:

If you’re in the Western part of Texas this weekend, you might want to check out Ultimate Fandango 2015 — an annual festival that takes people through the scenes and adventures from the 80s movie Fandango. The movie stars a young Judd Nelson and Kevin Costner and follows a group of friends as they take one last road trip across the Texas desert after graduating from college. Fans of the film will check out the same places the buddies went to — from Pecos Parachute School to the Marfa Cemetery. Three of the movie’s actors will be there to join in the events and share stories from the set.
