Austin is known for its plethora of festivals: there’s Austin City Limits, Fun Fun Fun Fest and SXSW, to name a few.
Coming up this weekend, the Capital City gets a rich taste of barbecue instead. For this one-day event, Texas Monthly magazine invited their list of top 50 barbecue restaurants from around the state to smoke and sell their own meats.
Where there’s smoke, there’s Daniel Vaughn, Texas Monthly’s barbecue editor. And naturally, he has the details about this year’s fifth annual TMBBQ Fest.
What you’ll hear in this segment:
– Who you can expect to see, especially which big-name BBQ joints will be attending
– What’s allowed at the festival-goers, including whether outside drinks or coolers are allowed
– What is included in the tickets, which run $80 to $145, and is it kid-friendly?
