Remember the MiniDisc player? What about the Palm Pilot? the Apple Newton? These are all shining examples of tech trends that have come and gone – some quicker than others. So what can we look forward to in the future?

Tech research firm Gartner released their predictions for tech trends in 2016. Things like device mesh and adaptive security architecture – they don’t inspire the imagination.
