Stars (for Madeleine)
It’s weird
right now
up there in that blue sky?
Right now
they are shining bright
not a care in the world
or universe
if anyone can see
And sure
the flashy twinkly ones
will come out at night
But me?
I’m writing this poem
to the ones that aren’t seen
But still
no matter what
still
shine.
