Democratic Congressman Beto O’Rourke of El Paso said to a Dallas crowd that he is one of only two members of Congress that does not take corporate cash or political action committee money.

“I’m one of two members of Congress out of 535 that takes no corporate cash, no political action committee money,” O’Rourke said at the speech in March, which is available on his Facebook page. “I don’t want you worried that when I’m taking a vote, making a decision, writing a bill, looking at an amendment, that I’m listening to anyone but you, the people that I want to serve and that I want to represent.”

Is that a fact? Gardner Selby of the Politifact Texas fact-checking team has the answer.
