Be In The ‘Loop’ About Fort Worth’s New Art Installation

“Loop’ is a new interactive public art installation that’s rolled into Fort Worth. The artwork is on view at Burnett Park. And it’s 12 circular-shaped, hand-powered machines light up, play music and project moving animated images.

‘Loop’ is a visiting interactive public art installation that’s on view in Downtown Fort Worth. The artwork was a collaborative effort of the artists Olivier Girouard and Jonathan Villeneuve. It was originally created as part of the Luminothérapie at the Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal in 2016-2017. But it was brought to North Texas by Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.

Fort Worth residents Martha Prudhomme and Mary Russell are smiling and laughing as they emphatically push and pull a chrome metal lever inside one of a cylindrical piece of art.
