Netflix no longer supports casting from a mobile device to your TV.
The changes come as streaming services are increasing prices and as Netflix makes news for its plan to buy Warner Bros. Discovery.
Tech expert Omar Gallaga says users will need to use the Netflix app on their TVs or physically connect a mobile device.
Highlights from this segment:
– Though some older versions of the Netflix app still support casting, the button is missing from new versions.
– The Plex media server/streaming service has also limited access recently. Roku users will no longer be able to stream from remote servers if the server owner is not a paid Plex user. Before the change, Plex users could connect to available servers, even if both user and server owner had free accounts.
