From KTEP:

This is part one in a two-part story.

It’s been nearly seven months since two brothers were arrested in West Texas for a shooting that killed a man and critically injured a woman. Both victims were migrants. The men accused of shooting them told investigators they thought they were firing at wild animals. One suspect was the warden of the West Texas Detention Center. The other worked for the sheriff.

KTEP’s Angela Kocherga reports people in the town of Sierra Blanca question why the investigation has stalled.
