it’s no longer alarming …
or rather, you’ve built a city
that’s car dependent
then charge me for my car’s existence!
All this i say in passing thoughts or
whispers
as i pay my $50 penalty
metermaids will sweep the streets
so i’ve gotta keep my plates clean
fines beget fines which beget real crimes
and I ain’t got time to fight
i was running 6 minutes late
when i got the ticket in the first place
