Early Voting Ends, Texas Gears Up For Super Tuesday

Time for our Friday look at the week that was – joining the Standard is Ayan Mittra, managing editor of the Texas Tribune.

With the primary just days away, a lot of eyes are on polling numbers in the Presidential race. A UT/Texas Tribune poll from mid-February put Clinton ahead with a slight edge. The demographics of voter turnout could make a difference – current numbers put her 10 points ahead in part due to minority voters but that gap could widen.

“Turnout among Hispanics will really make a difference in the gap,” he says. “Even though we had a 10-point margin, it could be even bigger.”
