For decades now writers from around the world have descended on San Antonio for the Macondo Writers’ Workshop, which begins next week.
Writer Sandra Cisneros created the workshop. The Macondo Foundation is named for the mythical town of Macondo in Gabriel García Márquez’ book, “One Hundred Years of Solitude.”
