Anthony Farrell and Andrew Trube are the Austin-based band Greyhounds. Their new album, “Change of Pace” comes out Friday. They’re calling it a “new LP of Technicolor Soul.”

Farrell talks about his musical heroes growing up: “Texas guitarists were a huge influence when everybody else was into metal. I was into weird old Silvertone guitars and Stevie Ray Vaughn. All the kings.”

Trube says the two had a different approach for this album. Usually, the group writes songs while they’re on tour.

“This one we were actually able to sit down and write the tunes and then figure them out into the studio,” Trube says.
