Hundreds of organizations, business groups like chambers of commerce, labor leaders including the AFL-CIO and others will meet with government leaders all over the country next week for so-called Infrastructure Week. These groups will advocate for investment in roads, bridges, public transit, ports and railways, many of which are in need of repair.
Texas has its own infrastructure needs, and David Newcomb, a senior research engineer at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, says there’s three changes that could improve how Texans get from place to place.
